NASA’s Artemis I Moon Rocket Ready to Launch Pad

Teams are ready to track to deploy Artemis I space Launch System rocket and Orion Spacecraft from the Vehicle assembly building to launch pad no earlier than Friday, November 4 with first motion targeted for 12:01 a.m EDT. There were minor repairs which was identified through detailed inspections and it was completed. Preparations are underway to ready the mobile launcher and VAB rollout.

 

Testing of the reaction control system is completed and those components are ready for flight. Flight batteries have been installed are ready. Engineers have replaced the batteries on the interim cryogenic propulsion stage and series of tests were conducted to ensure the stage is functioning properly. NASA teams continue to work in the intertank area of the core stage and upper section of the boosters to replace batteries. These areas will remain open to support the remaining battery and flight termination system activities. Charging of the secondary payloads in the orion stage is also complete.

 

Teams recharged and replaced and re installed several of the radiation instruments. The crew module and launch abort system are closed for the roll to the pad and engineers will perform final closeouts at the pad prior to launch. This opens a new potential for moon rocket to discovery more about our neighboring satellite.

  1. The next time I read a blog, I hope that it wont disappoint me as much as this one. After all, I know it was my choice to read, however I genuinely thought you would probably have something interesting to talk about. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something you could fix if you werent too busy looking for attention.
