April 2022 Solar Eclipse will be here: Do not miss it

A solar eclipse happens when the Moon moves between Sun and Earth casting a shadow on Earth. On April 30,2022 there will be a partial solar eclipse. It will be visible in parts of South America, Antarctica and pacific and southern oceans. The eclipse will take before sunset. As most of the world will not see it you can watch it live via NASA YouTube channel.

 

It will be a partial solar eclipse the Moon and the Sun are not perfectly aligned so the Moon will not completely cover the Sun. As the Sun sets west on evening of April 30, the Sun will appear partially eclipsed in clear skies, Argentina and most of Uruguay. It will be also visible along parts of northwestern coastline of Antarctica in Atlantic Ocean.

 

It is not safe to watch solar eclipse with naked eyes. When watching partial solar eclipse you must wear solar viewing or eclipse glasses throughout the solar eclipse if you want to face the sun. Solar viewing and eclipse are not regular sunglasses. Regular sunglasses are not safe for viewing the Sun. If you do not have solar viewing glasses, you can use an alternate indirect method such as pinhole projector.

 

Do not miss the eclipse as it comes few times in a year and is beautiful to look at.
